Magnus Bunnskog: Ma
En ny chans att uppleva Magnus Bunnskogs 間 – Ma. Ett audivisuellt verk som behandlar olika aspekter av 間, ett rumslig koncept som i översättning kan beskrivas som en intensifiering av den visuella perceptionen genom ett “mellanrum” eller ett “negativ utrymme”.
An audiovisual work for the 17.4 speaker setup at Audiorama, which deals with various aspects on 間, a spatial concept which roughly translated suggests intensification of visual perception through a “gap” or “negative space”.
Magnus Bunnskog
Magnus Bunnskog är tonsättare, samt verksam som dramaturg och konstnärlig ledare för Audiorama. Med en bakgrund inom teater och skrivande, intresserar han som tonsättare sig för relationen mellan text, performativitet och musik. Han ingick i Teater Albatross i början på 1990-talet, och turnerade med dem i Europa och Västafrika med ett antal föreställningar innan han började studera radio- och filmproduktion, författarstudier och därefter tog examen i Teatervetenskap på Stockholms Universitet och Komposition på KMH i Stockholm och CNSMD i Lyon. Han är aktuell med två nya beställningar från Kulturrådet: ett för Stockholms Saxofonkvartett och ett hörspel för Audiorama. Han har tidigare gjort en radioopera för Radioteatern och Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester, producerat livestreamad performancekonst på Splintermind/Beeoff, varit musikalisk ledare för Folkoperans Opera Showroom, skrivit musik för självspelande pianon, symfonisk kör, skivspelarsextett och mycket annat. Hans verk har spelats på festivaler som Sound of Stockholm, Norbergfestivalen, Transart Bolzano (Italien), Musik Biennale Zagreb (Kroatien), Sügisfest (Estland), Nordic Music Days, Bergmanfestivalen och SPOR Festival (Danmark).
Magnus Bunnskog is a composer, and works as dramaturg and artistic director at Audiorama. His background from theatre and writing resonates in his musical work as a specific interest for the relation between voice, performativity and music. As a member of the Albatross Theatre in the early 1990’s,touring Europe and West Africa with a number of productions, he studied radio and film production, writing, and eventually got degrees in Theatre Studies at the Stockholm University, and music composition at the Royal College of Music and CNSMD of Lyon, France. He is currently working on two commissions from the Swedish Arts Council: one new work for the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet, and a hörspiel for Audiorama. He has written a radio opera for the Swedish Radio Theatre and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, produced live-streaming performance art at Splintermind/Beeoff, worked as the musical director of the Folkoperan Opera Showroom, made music for player pianos, symphonic choirs, turntable sextets and much more. His works has been performed at festivals such as Sound of Stockholm, Norberg Festival, Transart Bolzano (Italy), Musik Biennale Zagreb (Croatia), Sügisfest (Estonia), Nordic Music Days, Bergmanfestivalen och SPOR Festival (Denmark).
